Well the damage from indulging myself this weekend wasn't too bad. I am thinking about changing some things up with my diet. The protein bar lunch thing is getting old. I think I am going to try and do more smaller snack type meals throughout the day and see how that goes. I also think I need to add some more protein to the diet. Not sure what I am going to do for the actual food that I eat but that's just details.

Carved a lot of pumpkins yesterday. I think tonight I am going to try and get all the back log of pictures out including ones of the pumpkins from yesterday. Bean was very cute helping carve the pumpkin. She did not want to wear her costume though. When Jennifer asked if she wanted to she ran into her play hut screaming "No put princess on!!!" It was kind of cute. I think she is just some sort of halloween purist who will only wear her costume on halloween.

Hello Brother
Weight: 210!!!!
Workout: 30 Minute Walking
Just couldn't do the running thing this morning. I was all set to do my regular 3 miles. I was even going to push it to 6.0. However it just wasn't meant to be. My left ankle and shin kind of hurt and it didn't go away or loosen up as I ran so I decided to stop. OK maybe I was a little too ready to stop this morning. Any way the ankle felt much better after walking and I may take a walk at lunch to balance out.

Man guess the beer can have an effect 209! We'll see if things are better in the morning. I'm going to try and run at 6.0 again tomorrow. Remembered the iPod this morning and it made it go a little better. Listened to an absolutely hilarious podcast about the show Lost. It seemed to be great fodder for an SNL skit. That is if SNL was able to do anything funny.

On a side not I'm sick of hearing about "Fitzmas". Fitzmas is the new holiday running arough the lib blogosphere that describes the day upon which Patrick Fitzgerald will announce indictments. I think the excitment here is really pretty gruesome. Don't misunderstand me I am all for nailing the bastards to the wall but this blade will cut both ways.

On the one hand bad guys will get their come-uppance, on the other, the tattered remains of the public's faith in the government to actually govern will be destroyed. The fact that people are excited about "those conservative wingnuts" getting indicted I think are failing to see the damage that this can cause.

Almost quit in the middle today. I managed to keep myself running for the whole distance though. I need to remember to get some podcasts on my ipod and bring it to the gym with me. Walker just isn't distracting me enough anymore.

phew! The run was hard today. My shins hurt a bit at first and my legs were very tight. Felt better afterwards though. And the weight was a pleasant suprise. Getting down to the wire on the goal!

Workout: 20 Minute Walk
I was sleepy this morning and didn't feel like doing much at the gym. I walked at 3.3 for 20 minutes. It must have been pretty chilly last night. Darth Hyundai did not want to start this morning at all. I shall apply the smackdown should the situation repeat.

I didn't push it to 6.0 today. I thought it might be a good idea not to over do it. The shoulder is still tender. I can't really tell if it's any better or not yet. I got some Alieve on the way in to work. That seems to help.

I have thoughts about my starbucks experience yesterday that I will probably post later.

So yesterday when I ordered my delicious latte the helpful starbucks employee explained the correct method for saying what I want. I asked for "A grande vanilla latte with 3 shots and 1 sweet & low with skim" He smiled and said "that would be a grande non-fat triple vanilla latte 1 sweet and low." I didn't think much of it at the time. But then as I was driving to work I recalled a little pamphlet deal that Jen got from startbucks titled "Make it your own drink" or something like that. Basically it is a training manual on how to say "I would like a pretentious fancy coffee drink please." Just what is it they are trying to do here. Is this the start of the starbucks takes over the world phase of their existence?

Sure it starts simple like this. Here is the best way to order your drink. It makes things go smoother and you get your crac^H^H^H^H coffee faster. But what's next. This is the way that we think you should dress, this is what you should listen to, kill the non-caffenated. Scary stuff, or maybe I've been watching too much Lost. But if McDonalds starts suggesting better ways to order a value meal I'll now I'm on to something!

Made it the whole 3 miles today. even did the last 5 minutes at 6.0! felt pretty good the shoulder didn't really cause any issues.

After that I went to see a chiropractor for my shoulder. She jiggled this and that, pulled on something else, and poked another thing. Told me to come back for 6 visits(maybe) and I should be right as rain. She also warned that I might be "a little sore" tonight.

On a side note I used to work with the wife of one of the chiros at AFNI. Small world.

After that I went to starbucks and got a (deep breath) "grande triple vanilla non-fat 1 sweet & low latte." Yum!
