Workout: 25 Minutes Climber I did 25 minutes on the climber today. I think that is a nice time for that. 20 didnt' seem like enough the last time, and 30 was too rough the last time I did that. Right now I feel pretty good so I think I made a good choice. |

Workout: 30 Minutes Eliptical My nose is still kinda stuffy from the painting and could make running rough so I did the eliptical. I need to figure out how to increase the level on it though. I did the "Weight Loss" program and on the low parts I had trouble keeping my heartrate up. Still burned 400 calories though. Went to a kick off event for Visual Studio 2005 yesterday. It really looks pretty sweet. The didn't show much on the Team System aspect but the editor tools that it has seem pretty sweet. There are some nice diagraming/code stubbing features that could be really useful. I am hoping that the uni will be able to provide both the Team System as well as Visual Studio. Ran into Steve from AFNI while I was there. It's good to run into people you haven't seen for a while. It sounds like things are going good for him. I need to do better at keeping in touch with people. |

Workout: 30 Minutes Bike I'm still feeling the effects of the fumes from staining and polyurethaning all weekend so I took it easy today. The iPod rose from the dead this weekend so that is a good thing. It was pretty crowded in the locker room this morning and I completely forgot to weigh in. Guess we'll just have to wait til tomorrow to see where I'm at. |

Workout: 30 Minutes X-Trainer I used the old-school X-Trainer today. I set it to keep my hear rate at 125 and then bumped that up to 130. I got a pretty good workout. Sadly, though, I think my iPod is dead. It was on when I unplugged it from the charger this morning but when I got to the gym it was dead. I hope this isn't permanent. I got an Isopure protein drink thing after the workout. I think that helped the other day with getting worn out in the afternoon. When I grabbed that I saw that they had restocked the yummy blue raspberry Grenade's. So I grabbed one of them as well in case I need it this afternoon. I think I have decided on new fitness goals for next year. My goals at this point are to run a consistent 8 minute mile and to bench press my weight. I think that both of those are acheivable in a twelve month period. I think that I am going to consider these goals to be in place starting 1/1/06 and the dead line of 12/31/06. Maybe if I reach that goal I can get a new iPod. |

Workout: 3 Mile Run The run wasn't too bad today. I did it at 6.1 again. I got a protein drink today instead of the energy drink. I want to see if that gives me a little more pep. I don't know if I am getting enough protein during the day and I think that might be part of why I feel so slugish in the afternoons. We'll see if that is the case today |

Workout: 3 Mile Run Well I guess 204 isn't that bad. I should be able to get that off pretty quick. I did 3 Miles at 6.1 today and it felt pretty good. Did a lot of painting this weekend. got just about everything done. We need to do the cutting in the office and then some touch up work and everything will be done. Now we can start staining the wood work. The power sprayer made things easier. However the noise and vibration have their own effects on the body. Owen had a new first this weekend. He was pulling up on an end table and pulled it over on himself and cut his gums. He made his first trip to the emergency room. He is fine and is even trying to pull up on the same table. That is, until Jen moved it to the garage. Owen seems to be the fearless one, I'm sure that this was just the first trip to the emergency room for him. Jen has his hospital bracelet and is planing on putting it in a scrap book. I suggested putting a peg on the wall to hold them all ;) |

Workout: 30 Minute X-Trainer Did the cross trainer today. I was a little tired and didn't feel like running. I used an older one that was pretty tough. It asked for a target heart rate and adjusted resistance to keep you there. I put in 140 originally but since that almost killed me I reduced it to 128 and kept the hr at 135. Pretty good workout actually. The machine said I burned 430 calories. |

Workout: 30 Minutes Eliptical Did the eliptical today. Felt the results of the climber. My thighs were on fire for most of it. I still got a pretty good workout though. I forgot to recharge the iPod and had to watch Walker today. Bean now can tell right from left! Not only for herself but for others! If you ask here which is Owen's right hand she gets it right every time! She's so smart. On the Owen front he is now able to stand on his own for almost 3 seconds. This seems to have Bean upset. Yesterday I said "look at Owen standing by himself!" She started screaming "No No Owen standing by himself No!" Looks like there might be an issue brewing there. She of course tries to dissuade this by pushing him over every chance she gets. Ahh siblings |
