Born at the Right Time
Weight: D'Oh
Workout: 30 Minutes Treadmill

I ran for about 20 minutes of the half hour I was on the treadmill today. I don't think I'll be able to just pick up running 3 miles. I think I will try to just run 1 mile a day for a bit and then step it back up. I completely forgot to get on the scale today.

Weight: 210
Workout: 30 Minutes X-Trainer

Workout was good this morning. Made it the whole 30 and worked up a good sweat. Hear rate hovered just about 130 the whole time.

Steve Had an nifty link on his site full of potty training info. I'll have to look through it all this afternoon.

Workout: 30 Minutes Bike

The Bike was good today. I worked up a decent sweat and burned 300 calories. Tomorrow I am going to do the X-Trainer and the plan is still to run on Friday

What are the people in Tom Delay'sDistrict thinking? He won the primary with 60% of the vote yesterday. That is just wrong. He's under indictment for money laundering. He's been officially reprimanded for ethics violations in congress. I know, lets reward that! It boggles the mind. I mean even outside of partisanship this guy sucked. He got caught! That's should be it. I have no illusions this behavior is unique to Delay. In fact I believe it's most likely the norm. Yet, when you get caught with your fingers in the cookie jar that should be it. Game Over, Next! Apparently that's not quite the case here. In terms of partisanship and politics it seems to me that keeping Delay around will make fighting the whole "republican culture of corruption" meme a bit harder to fight now. The commercials and campaigning should be interesting in that race.

Under African Skies
Weight: 213
Workout: None

Well I think I am over whatever it was last week. Unfortunately I seem to have shared it with both Owen and Cecilia over the weekend. I hope they get over it a little more quickly than I did. Owen spent most of yesterday asleep in my lap. Cecilia seemed to be feeling much better yesterday than she did saturday night. We even made bread in the morning. Delicious apple spice bread. mmmmmmmmmm.

Owen is now officially walking. He can go quite the distance! Yesterday he even managed to turn around and keep walking without falling down. Not bad considering how bad he was feeling.

This was the temperature in my office this morning:

yes I work in hell

Update:

Thanks to moder technology:

Yes folks it's the dixie cup of ice on the thermostat trick

The Result?

Technology to the rescue!!

Oh My Goodness!!!

That is the Bean's newest phrase. Friday afternoon she wanted a kleenex to wipe her hands. We were out of tissues downstairs so I grabbed a paper towel. The look on her face was priceless. I think that is the look most little girls get when they find out they are getting the pony. Her jaw dropped and she got all squirmy and yelled "OH MY GOODNESS" It was perhaps the funniest/cutest thing she has done in a while.

Tonight I got to see the not so cute side of the statement. Cecilia seems to have caught my cold/flu/virus. She was very tired and wanted to go to bed early. She felt warm so we thought the baby tylenol might help her sleep. Well, not so much. I gave her the medicine and went down the hall to put it away. She started screaming. I got back to her room and she said "Got SICK" followed by a lot of crying. I saw that she had gotten sick and was about to repeat the performance. I rushed her to the bathroom and she was sick a little more in the toilet. Then she turned around and said "OH MY GOODNESS!!! OH MY GOODNESS WHAT HAPPENED!" It would have been funny/cute if she wasn't so scared and upset.

So how's your weekend?
