What's It Going to be then, Eh?

Is CNN helping?

I just watched the cnn piece on the Kathy Sierra/Chris Locke thing. I do not have anything worthwhile to say on that matter. What I wanted to write about was this; While describing the terrible picture of Kathy with a noose that was posted to a blog, and how terrible it was, they superimposed a picture of a noose over footage of Kathy. C'mon what are they trying to say there. That it's terrible when those evil bloggers do it but if CNN does it it's now ok?

I also was slightly suprised when the cohost make the joke about how terrible it was to threaten the "cute kitty." It just seemed odd to me to make a joke about a situation using what could be considered a diminutive nickname like that. Almost smug actually. They start a story about hate speech and misogyny and finish it up with a joke using a cutsey name for the woman involved. It just seemed patronizing to me.

Adam
The whole thing is a joke. This woman is actively seek fame and fortune and promoting herself and the books that she writes by putting herself in the public eye, mostly on the internet and is now crying that (gasp) the internet has anonymous assholes on it who without batting an eyelash will photoshop you smothering in your own panties and call you the "C" word and create an entire website devoted to hating you.

She's not some anonymous housewife that decided to write a little blog. She's a professional author and speaker who makes her living that way.

I say she needs to toughen up or get out of the game.

As for CNN, there's no hope left there and I'm surprised they're running anything other than Anna Nicole coverage.
