CNN.COM So, because we have "saved innocent lives" it's ok to hide people away in secret prisons around the world. Of course it's not like we would be torturing them there. The president said so, it must be true. This upsets me for the following reason. It is the belief that saving lives justifies the sacrifice of morals and ethics. That is simply ignorant. Yes, it would be terrible if we were unable to stop terrorist attacks because we did not vigorously interrogate these people. But what is worse is that we have abandoned the morals of our society. We are supposed to be The Good Guys™ The ones who would die for principles. It's this type of nihilistic justification for bad actions that get's me angry. This news should be met with screaming in the streets and serious consequences for all involved. ARRRRGGGGGHHHHH |

What pisses me off, is the guy pictured in the CNN article as one of the detained terrorists to be transferred, was reported dead in 2002, but then resurrected when we captured him in 2003, but then reportedly wasn't captured by us and is still at large in Pakistan. http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/khalid-resurrection.htm
