What's It Going to be then, Eh?

Mine!

Owen has the greatest understanding of the word mine ever. I have suspected this for the last few days but now I'm sure of it. When owen wants to share something he uses the word "mine." He holds whatever it is out to you and says "MINE!." It's really pretty cool.

Usually at dinner both he and Cecilia want to have some of mine or Jen's meal. Cecilia has no issues whatsoever with just saying "can I have some of that." Owen feels compelled to offer some of his first. So he'll grab something off his plate. Tonight it was a piece of potato. Hold it out to you and say "Mine!" It's adorable.

Now the trick is to make sure he grows up believing that it really is a good thing to think of those things that are "mine" in the context of things you want to share with others instead of things you want to keep from others. I'm telling you he's the Ghandi of 1 year olds.
