Well I made it the whole 3 today. It felt pretty good. I had to take one small break to blow my nose but it was only for about half a minute

"Do you go to church?" So I'm sitting in the sauna listening to On The Media. And that is the question I am asked. The guy asking is an older man who works as a horse trainer, he's missing many teeth and is not very well educated. He is already not one of my favorite people because he seems to think doing push-ups in the sauna is acceptable. Additionally he's chatty. STFU and let me sweat in peace! I should have just done the "sorry listening to music" thing and ignored him, but what can I say I'm a nice guy. So I explain that no I don't go to church I'm jewish. In this town that usually ends any religous discussion. Unfortunately not this time. "I'm Jewish too!" Oh fuck, now I've done it. I realized at this point my sauna time was going to be cut way short. He starts babbling about Jesus was jewish and he is a follower of Christ so he's jewish to yadda yadda yadda. I put my ear bud back in hoping to kill the conversation. Nope, not going to work. "Let me give you my testimonial........blather blather blather... in the penitentiary for 3 years...blah blah blah. I am a tolerant person, I try to be nice to people, but for fucks sake people there is an appropriate time and place for something like this. 5:55AM in the sauna at Gold's Gym™ is not it. I just finished running 3 god damn miles and am in a small 130 degree room. Don't fucking talk to me. Furthermore, don't try to get me to accept a personal savior. The time for that might be at about 2.5 miles. I realize that there is a large community in this area that are "born again" and that they consider this an important part of their faith. I get that. But cripes if the sinner(Me) isn't interested and goes back to the iPod just Shut up. I don't need the preachy crap. The scary part is after cutting the sauna short and showering AND dressing he was still in the sauna "testifying" I just hope this isn't a bad sign for the day.
